AIUC-1 mirrors proven certification paradigms like FedRAMP and HITRUST, with a centralized body issuing all certificates and a network of auditors that prepare audit reports with recommendations.
All AIUC-1 certificates are issued by the Artificial Intelligence Underwriting Company.
Accredited auditors prepare an AIUC-1 audit report with a recommendation to issue the AIUC-1 certificate alongside technical testing results from an accredited AIUC-1 technical testing body. These two inputs are evaluated by the AIUC-1 Certification Committee and the certificate is issued if the audit report and testing results meet all AIUC-1 requirements.
This structure mirrors proven certification paradigms like HITRUST and FedRamp, which also has a central certification body (the HITRUST Alliance / the FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board) combined with a network of accredited auditors (HITRUST Authorized External Assessors / FedRAMP 3PAOs)
